Primer Amor

Tu en mi korason i ninguno a mis lados.

First Love

I walk down the streetsyou, always on my mind,
You brighten my destiny, light of my life.
I need to see your glances, your smiles,
Your voice in my ears, your steps before my eyes.
You set my veins throbbing with delight,
Your name on my lips burning bright,
I cannot be without the flame of this fire.
I cannot live without you; you are my life’s desire.
I walk alone on empty streets in the night,
You in my heart and no one at my side,
Your affection, your sweetness always on my mind,
I feel drunk on this intoxicating wine.

Primer Amor is the Winner of the 2008 Festiladino competition.

Miradas Diferentes

Me dan fuersa a mi egzistensya i a mi bivir,
Ekspliko la vida i los amores kon melodiyas,
Me siento komo borracho, so yeno d’alegriyas…

Other Lives, Other Eyes

The pleasure and desire I feel
Give strength and joy when I write.
I am imbued with intoxicating glee
In rhyming the melodies of love and life.
When I look at the eyes of a lover, I see
Affection and caring adorned with light.
These inspiring sentiments so fine
I sketch and adorn with my soul,
Then frame them later in my mind.
But I see glances in others’ eyes
That speak of sorrows untold;
Downtrodden and repressing cries,
Against their fortune they revolt.
These images on my mind engraved
Kill me, depress me with cares.
If I am the only spectator of a happy play,
What good is it if around me are empty chairs?
I have always wanted to distribute smiles
To widows, and orphans, day and night.
If only my own satisfaction I attain,
What is the point if all I see is pain?

Sentimientos De Un Amorozo

Tu sos komo una estreya ke me briya,
Kuando veyo tu sonriza en triste diya,
Kon su klaridad topo mi buen kamino,
I kon mi alma rengrasyo a mi destino.
Kamino komo un borracho d’alegriya,
Tu posedas mi sangre i la vida miya.
Veran tus lindos ojos i tu fizionomiya.

A Lover’s Sentiments

You are like a star that on me shines;
On a sad day, when I see your smile,
In its light, I find my way,
And in my soul I thank my fate.
I go around drunk with delight;
My blood, my life are thine,
To me you are a gift of judgment divine.
You’ve been my nectar, my wine,
With you I am full of love sublime,
I will never get you out of my mind.
If my eyelids open as I am about to die,
They will see your face and your lovely eyes.
